Looking for Some Help Here
If you check out the bar of links on the left of this page, you will see a new section entitled "Nick's Resume." I have put my current resume (with name, address, phone deleted for obvious reasons) online as part of my ongoing search for gainful employment and life direction. Ben and I are willing to consider relocation to other areas of the US, and I can be available for a new position in a relatively short time. If you are a potential employer, I would appreciate your consideration. If you know of potential employers or would like to offer suggestions or improvements for my resume, I would love your assistance. To some, this kind of "self - selling" might seem like a last ditch effort, but it is not that. Rather, I was inspired to attempt this use of the internet as part of an ongoing and aggressive search for a new position. Any assistance that you, my readers, can offer will be appreciated. I will report on the results of this post at a later date. Thanks, all, for your help.

I have to say I am a little surprised at your resume. I had no idea that someone could be a pastor with an associate's degree. Did you attend seminary?

Ah, back in the days when I was credentialed as clergy (somewhere in the long distant past) my denomination had a system that combined education and experience which allowed some with less formal education to put life experience to work in ministry. I am likely one of the few currently serving without at least a Bachelors degree. Most now have MDiv degrees. Thanks, Karen, for asking.
Nick, I will keep my eyes and ears open for you and for Ben. It would make me very happy to have the two of you nearby, although I know you probably prefer warm and sunny.
FYI, I know there is an MCC in Harrisburg and one in Allentown, but I am not aware of one in Reading.
If I hear of anything in my area, I'll dash you an email.
my very best wishes for success!
Nick, I can totally relate. I started writing a too long message about my degrees (or lack of)but you don't need all my blah blah blah. Suffice it to say I am one of the few librarians I have ever met that has 25 years experience but only an associate's degree. I have a BA in elementary education which allows me to be a school librarian in NJ. While it hasn't been a problem so far I am holding my breath. I am not interested in getting my MA. Don't have the money, either.
I hope things turn around for you and Benton soon.
good luck with this NIck
Your name and address still show on your posted resume. You might wish to correct that.
